Beginner’s Guide to TRX

Although developed for the Navy SEALs by a former Navy SEAL, you don’t have to be an extreme athlete to try TRX. As a matter of fact, those yellow and black straps hanging in your gym are also useable at home with a door attachment or a sturdy anchor point and TRX has made it easier than ever for all levels of fitness to get involved.

The concept of the TRX suspension training is pretty basic: you use two nylon webbed straps on your feet or hands to partially suspend your body and use your own body weight as resistance. Depending on the positioning of your body on the cables, you can perform exercises that build power, strength, core stability, flexibility, and balance. Sounds like a fun way to get a total-body cardio and strength workout, right? Exactly! Keep reading our Beginner’s Guide to TRX to get the complete low down on everything suspension training.
